Hubzilla Start<\/strong>
My Diaspora account on ruhrspora.de disappeared. Over the past year I've had to avoid sitting down and using the computer as much as I used to. It's a shame because there were some great conversations on that Diaspora* account.[1] I should have taken the time to back up my account. An article showed me how easy it is to "clone" hubzilla accounts.[2]
SInce I have to start over again I figured I'd work with Hubzilla this time. The minimalist design of Diaspora* is great, but this year's Covid-induced on-line classes have me thinking I need an account for sharing files and organizing photo albums. Another article has me thinking that Hubzilla can "do everything."[3]
If students would make hubzilla accounts it might be a good way to share line-drawings, comments, and messages. Using "Universal Passport" was frustrating. Maybe some sort of "bang notation" or forums for each class would be less frustrating and more educational.
